Foreign Affairs Committee

The Committee on Foreign Affairs is responsible for the promotion , implementation and control of foreign policy of the European Union. The common foreign and security policy ( CFSP ) and the Common Security and Defence Policy ( CSDP ) are the primary tools. The Committee also has an important role in relations with the United Nations and other international organizations, the control of the European External Action Service ( EEAS ), and the strengthening of the EU’s relations with third countries.

The Sub-committee on Human Rights deals with issues related to democracy, the rule of law, human rights, including the rights of minorities in third countries and the principles of international law.

Furthermore, I am a member of the delegation to Israel and the Korean Peninsula. The delegation to Israel is one of the oldest and is responsible for the development of parliamentary contacts with the Knesset, the Israeli Parliament . Click here for the overview:
